Nike Air Chamber

06.21.2016

The Nike Air Chamber was a 25' x 25' cube, lined with LED panels to create an immersive basketball environment for a US Olympic basketball team sendoff event. Outfitted with a (4) x 1080p display, a Kinect-powered interface, an impact sensor-rigged basketball hoop, and a custom bullet time HD video camera rig, the Air Chamber delivered a reality-bending basketball experience. My responsibilities were primarily the realtime, spatially-responsive graphics interface, which ran for 6 days straight. This project was a collaboration between Legwork, Hovercraft Studio and several other partners.

Read about the custom bullet time rig that captured participants' moves here.
