Located at the Nike By You Studio @ 45 Grand, the Nike Maker Experience is an invite-only opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind, personalized Nike Presto X. Each 1:1 session features revolutionary design tools and a rapid on-site maker process, allowing guests to leave with their customized shoe in under an hour. It's the future you don't have to wait for.

I spent most of August, 2017 in NYC helping build this amazing Nike initiative with Enjoy The Weather - a boutique agency in Portland, Oregon led by Ian Coyle. The effort was a culmination of years of internal Nike prototyping, years building the realtime sneaker projection system by W+K Lodge, and I spent 3 months building custom software that:

Turned 4 different designs into realtime typographical motion graphics systems.
Sent custom pattern imagery to W+K Lodges's realtime mocap sneaker projectors.
Sent a high-res image to the "maker" team who assembled the one-of-a-kind sneakers in under an hour.
Projection-mapped 96 white sneakers that sampled the generated patterns in realtime (all within a single Processing app)
Dropped some serious bass on the sound system as users traversed the voice-controlled experience.
